Row, Row, Row your boat, (or house)

Good Morning everyone,

Well, its raining....again.  We are so soaked here, where I live.  The whole lot area is not  leveled to code, and we have water everywhere.  My lot is somewhat drier, but not much.  Everyone else, is swimming, good, maybe they will move quicker, (evil thoughts).

My garden is suffering terribly.   I have had to re-start seeds, nothing is growing, even with lights, heat.  This garden season is very mysterious and ominous to me.  I am somewhat superstitious, like my grandmother, signs are everywhere and I do not like the signs I see.  I am going to try to restart some squash seeds, and cucumber, and a few other things, if it doesn't work, I think I will quit while I am ahead.  It is supposed to be warm and decent on the weekend, so I will put my greenhouse plastic up for my cucumbers, and try to get that ready and then see what happens.

I am going later in the week, to see if I can find some cheap flowers to put in pots around the place.  Since this is going to be a weird year, with weird neighbors and everything else weird, I would like some color around the place, to help my mood deal with all of the bad stuff going on.    I usually have tons of flowers, but since the weirdo's next door are, well, weird, I have had to change my ways a little but yet have my colors around.   I am placing color around the north side where I have my patio area, I dug out my cheap dollar store canopy, will be getting my patio furniture out probably this weekend, and am cleaning off the front porch, so I least I have privacy from all of the idiots around here. Oh, and by the way, I have been told that all of the new people who moved in here during the winter, are mad because I have a 10X10 porch on my place and they don't.  So the idiots have been complaining to the owner that they want porches too. Go figure. No wonder the owner is pissed at me, ha, ha.  I have had the porch since the summer of 2006.  I bought it used and had it fitted in and its been here ever since.  I guess the owner has told all of the idiots that I own so I can have a porch if I want, which shocked me, but still doesn't stop the yapping.  I feel I am back in Junior high school.  I have never seen such juvenile behavior except from juveniles, and these are 20' somethings which have no brains that God gave a goose.  Personally I think that it is funny.  Only I can get into trouble having a porch.

It just dawned on me it is Memorial Day weekend coming up.  I don't do too much.  I may grill over the weekend.  I generally do dinners for the folks, D, the ex will stop by, so I will drag the big smoker grill I have, and clean that up, and get it ready for the season.. I have a big smoker that I do quite a bit of outdoor cooking on.  It is just like my gas oven, and works wonderful, but I have not done everything on it.  I have done pizza on a stone on it, that was fun.  I would like to try to do a brisket and smoke that.  I need to get hickory or mesquite wood to smoke, and just make a weekend of it, as you have to keep checking the wood and temps for a long time to smoke.  But I am going to try this this summer.  I love to cook outside, as my trailer gets way too hot to cook inside,  I have enough problems when I can during the summer.  I just hope I do not have all of the idiot neighbors over for food and mooching.

I do however, want to say something, and say thank you again to all of you who read my very boring blog.
First, I do not want to make anyone mad here.  So I will try to just make my words plain, simple and make my statement.
When I started my blog, I mentioned I am a new blogger.  I am tech challenged, and do my best.  Second,  I mentioned I live a boring and very uneventful life.  It is a life of being a poor slob, and as I state on the header of the blog, I live and make the best of what I got where I live at.  Third,  The last month has been, challenging, and stressful, so I have been unable to blog, and since the garden is not being cooperative, that even makes it worse, as I have had nothing to show, and I have had to move gardening areas around, so I do not have a beautiful gardening area anyway because of problem people that just want to make life miserable for everyone else around them because they are miserable themselves.

Well, why I am saying something about this is the issue of a few comments from anonymous commenter's.  I have received comments from people who are sandbagging around, and like my idiot neighbors, making problems and just being a plain pain in the butt, period.   The comments left where hurtful, and I would say, from someone, like the 20's somethings that live around me, they have no idea about life in general, or even what kind of a goal or plan in mind they want in life.   They are to me, bullies who use the blogging world as  their personal playground where they can bully and make comments, that I will not even post, they were deleted, so you cannot get the word out to promote your brand of life you seem to want to push on to others.  I am glad I have in place the ability to see comments before I post them, so you can't get past that, my dears.
The comments left were about how boring my blog is, well, if you don't like it my dears, go elsewhere.  I live a boring life.  I have very little to contribute to you or others like you.  I do not have time to you and your ideology you want to place upon everyone you come across that doesn't fit your blog ideals.  I know some of the blogs that are wonderful, and full of information that is passed on to others.  These blogs on on my readers list, so they are available to all.
I have had a very stressful month or so, and with only one of me being able to do everything that needs to be done, I cannot sit at the computer and pound out all sorts of suggestions, recipes, gardening and other sorts of stuff, that I personally would love to do.  But I cannot, its only me here and I have too many commitments to too many things.

So,  I am sorry that I do not have a ton of followers, I am sorry that I do not have tons of information for you, I am sorry that you feel that I am a fly spec on the blogging world that does not need to be on the map.  I am sorry that you are a small minded person that gets their jollies off of commenting on others blogs to make them feel small.  Personally, I really shouldn't comment period about your blogging comments, as it gives you power to continue your infantile mindset, but I will tell you, to me, you are a small, very narrow minded individual who doesn't get anything in life.  I do feel very sorry for you, as you are no better than the low life you are.  Take it however you want.

I want to thank all of you who follow my blog.  I am hoping that as things calm down here as summer gets going, I will be able to bring things to you that may be of interest.  I live by the saying, that best laid plans of mice and men.  I cannot see into the future to see what it coming down the pike.  I like to try to see, to be ready, but sometimes, it just hits and you have to deal with it.
I want to thank all of you who follow, of your friendship, fellowship and comforting words that you leave and make.  I love all of you, and give prayers to all, and blessings to protect you.  Your words and blogs give me comfort, support and just general good neighbor feelings even though we are so very far apart.

Well,  I think that I have moaned enough, PO's is more a better word, but I will not cuss any more that I have to.  I think that I had better get dressed and get going.  I have work to do outside before it rains more this afternoon, and see if I can get my porch set up and cleaned up.
Take care all, please have a great week, and a very safe upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Hugs to all.  I will try to post photos of what I am up to.

Still Chilly

Good Morning everyone,

I thought I would just take a couple of quick photos of the north side garden.  It is not pretty, as you can see.  I do not have a huge space to work with, and at the present, my tomatoes are covered, but the snow fence sure makes a good support for them and the cucumbers.  I have to share space with the vehicles as you have to keep things close here or everything will grow legs and walk off.

Where I have my walking onions in the container, I will place my cucumbers, and they can travel and meander along the fence up by the carport shed.  The sun is great along the fence line, and the rest of the garden, I will place in containers around where I have sun.  I have containers ready for summer lettuces and greens also, I just have to wait til it dries out and I can move them into the garden enclosure.  My tomatoes seems to get through the cold.  I have lost about 4 plants, but I will replace them.  They either got water logged, or chilled, and I lost one to the wind whipping and breaking the top off, but I think that they did well.  I placed milk jugs with water in them and that really helped.  I guess what ever I can do.
I am very ashamed of my garden this year.  And it doesn't help when it is very dreary like the photos show.  Today it is very chilly and gloomy.  If we get sun, it will be better, but not like last year's photos I had up of the house.

Well, I just thought I would chime in this morning.  I have a ton of house work to do, laundry, and bathroom duties, so I had better bug out for now and I will try to post later in the week.

Please have a great week.

A chilly few nights

Good Evening Everyone,

I hope that you all had a great productive week and weekend.  Like I have mentioned, I have been pretty busy in the house trying to get just general house things done, painting, working outside as I can. I am so very far behind in the garden, and I am afraid that it is going to be a cool summer here, where I will need to leave my greenhouse plastic up for most of the summer like I did last summer, to get anything to grow and be productive.

It has been very chilly here the last few days.  We had 2 1/2 inches of rain the last few days and nights, we really needed it, but we also are having pretty chilly weather, and I do have tomatoes in.  I had to put them in, they were getting root bound and starting to die, so I had to take the chance.  I have covered the tomatoes with greenhouse plastic and am just hoping for the best.  My problem is:  I lost my south side because of the south idiots so, I do not have the heat from the house to protect the plants, so I am just hoping  I can stay ahead of Mother Nature and a prayer.  It is supposed to drop to 32* tonight, and tomorrow, with even a wind chill of 23*, so yes, I would say, winter does not want to let go of her grip yet.  And to think that we had 85-90* last week.

I covered my berry canes, and did cover my lettuces and greens, so they are OK and can take the chilly temps.  I have my cucumber seedlings and squash in the house under the lights and they are in the "it" room where it is warm.

Other than that, that is about all that is going on here.  I really have not been in a gardening mood, to be honest,  I am very upset that I lost the south side, which pans out to about a 5 ft by 50 ft section of garden that I could use, but I cannot risk loosing any plants I put in and pay for from idiots.  I'm not even going to risk it.  I had that a few years ago from some other idiots and I lost a lot of money in plants and produce stolen, so I am just going to bide my time and hope for the best.

I also want to thank all of you for your words to help me through this very unhappy time.  I do not feel isolated with all of you along side me.  You are the only reason I can get up in the morning with my coffee or tea and get through the day.  Thank you all my friends.  I love and give hugs to all.
Well, I am going to quit for the night, I am beat, tired and am going to sit and read a new gardening magazine I got in the mail this afternoon, so I wish all of you a wonderful upcoming week.

Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day

Good Morning everyone,

I'm  still here.  I haven't been sent to the pen or the gulag YET.  But I thought I had better post that I am still here, but I have been sand baggin' and have been pretty busy painting and trying to get the garden in at the same time. I have been pouting a little bit also, but I have to get up and going.   With all of the crap that had happened, I am oh so far behind in the garden it isn't even funny, so I have been trying to whip a bit of garden that had not been in garden for several years, but I am getting it done.  It isn't going to be a pretty garden, but just functional to produce something.  Hopefully it won't fail me, as this is done very slapped together.  I will post photos later.

Update from next door,  the south idiots had a brawl last Tuesday night.  I was sitting outside with a cup of tea after supper and heard screams flying around, I didn't look, as I knew what was going on, but the neighbor lady right across the street seen it all and went in and called the cops.  She had a front stage view and unfortunately, she and a tenant she rents to was out in front talking and the tenant ran in her  house as she is a survivor of domestic assault and the neighbor told me later she was petrified.  I told the neighbor that it will have to be up to the other neighbors to call the cops and I cannot because of the blame game crap the owner and the these trailer park trash pull.  The neighbor said she was going directly to the owner to bitch about them and to file a complaint about the male running around in his underwear showing off his manhood.  See this male does not venture out too much, but when he does, he is in his underwear walking down to the west of us to another crappy trailer park that's worse than this one.  From what I was told, the whole area is complaining about this male as we don't know if he is a pervert or what.  So, the story continues, I will keep you posted.

Well,  I am going to get dressed and ready to work today.  It has been beautiful the last few days and have really got a lot done.  I have been very exhausted also.  So I will try to post more as I get things done.
I wish all the moms a Happy  Mother's Day.  Enjoy your day.

An un-nerving few weeks

Good Morning everyone,

I hope that all of you are OK, if I have readers from the south, I pray you are OK and getting through the turmoil of storms.  My heart goes to the south for the devastating destruction it has left.

I apologise for the lengthy away time I was.  But I had a very un-nerving and then anger filled few weeks.
I will not go into great detail about this little bru-ha-ha, but the trashy neighbors who are to the south of me accused me of graffiti on the back of the crappy trailer they live in.  The accusations flew, the cops called, evidence checked, and then as quickly as the finger pointing came, everything went.  OH yes, these people also accused me of window peeking.

This happened sometime between last Tuesday night or very early Wednesday morning, the words "move" was spray painted on the back of the trailer.  Now I will tell you, that yes, I was inquiring about these people, and I was told that the man who suddenly moved in with this woman was very violent, which he is, as I had seen him punch this woman down the stairs and the screaming that comes from this trailer.  But, unfortunately, living in a shit hole town such as this place, if you even want to call it a town, if you ask anything, eventually it will get around.

I am sure that these people have baggage that they moved with from their previous digs.  I was told that they were evicted from the last residence for non payment and the violence.  I also learned another larger lesson..don't ask about things and be careful WHO you ask.  Since this 3 groups of people who have moved into this area came, we have had nothing but people coming and going and strange things going on in the air and around the neighborhood.

I was so very angry about this, and I was angry as I had a cop here, which when we do have them, they treat you like the trailer park trash they think you are.  This cop was brash, and condescending.  I told him, that I am not exactly well, and have other things to do besides paint things on wall, and peek into windows.
The other thing that angered me was the owner was right along blaming me for all of the social ills that he puts here.  So I did go to his place of business and lit into the middle of them and told them to leave me alone and to step up to the plate and YOU be responsible for what you put over here, and that they were not going to pin the crap onto me.  I then had to go and talk to my attorney, which I cannot afford, and discuss my options and at the moment, we are just sitting and seeing what will come about, which is all I can do at the moment.

Then the old, " I can't have a garden or flowers" bit came up again, as this trailer park trash have kids that are allergic to bees, and I told the owner to shove it.  Bees and bugs are in the environment and I can't control the world or the bugs so I told him to tell these people to get a life, if they even know what that is and then mentioned I had council with my attorney and whether he wanted to press on with the attorney, which he backed off and said he hates attorneys and shut up from there.

I wish I could move, but it costs a fortune to move.  I was pondering selling the modular back to the owner, but currently, I am not in a position to do so, so I have just concluded that I will with draw into my home, I moved my garden area to the north side, brought my blue buckets around and will pull them into my garden area, and just take it one day at a time.
I recalled another blogging friend, who I will mention, FlowerLady from FlowerLady's Musings had something similar to my dilemma, the shitty neighbors and the trash that seems to walk upon the urban areas now.  We are seeing this now here where I live as it seems since the news had been mentioning that the middle states are doing better than other parts of the country because of the economy, we are now seeing all manor of  people, all colors, coming here to live, thinking we have jobs and places to live, which is far from the truth. Along with this urban crap that is moving into the area, they bring their urban problems and social  issues which we are not really prepared to deal with here. Issues with color and cultures. When people move here, they cannot deal with the idea that there is nothing to do here. We have no anything to go to or clubs or night life that they had before.   This is a very low paying state, which you will find part time work, IF you can find work, and way below minimum wage and I mean way below, most pay is around anywhere from $4 an hour to $6 and that's it.  And maybe 15-20 hrs a week if you are lucky.  And forget about housing, its not here, except places like where I live, where I would not let a dog live in some of the places this owner has to rent out.  And on top, he charges $600 a month for the dumps to boot.

So,  I have been extremely depressed, and almost afraid to go out, worrying that if something else happens, I will be the first to get nailed because I am the target.  I am amazed that I, who mind my own business, am now the enemy of this place who lives among drug dealers and general shit of the lower population.
So, I have been trying to work inside, I am getting ready to paint some rooms and just general fix up so just in case, IF I decide to sell my investment of the modular back to the idiot owner, I can, and be done with it.  But at the moment, I am holding my ground.

Currently, I put in my berry canes, in small containers to see if they grow.  I put my dwarf blueberry's in the larger containers and will see how they do.  I will try to get onions in some containers, and I haven't even started on the area for my tomatoes and cucumbers yet.  We had a beautiful day yesterday, into the low 70's but this morning, it is chilly and very windy.  Personally, I have not felt like gardening at all now.  I have lost my desire to garden, period. Funny how quickly everything turns to ca-ca.

Well,  I think that I have pissed and moaned enough, so I will take leave and wish all of you a wonderful gardening weekend, and we will try to post later.

Snow all gone

Good Morning everyone,

I hope that all are having a great week and getting gardening and home matters going and in order.
We are unfortunately in a very unsettled spring/cold pattern that is very wet, and it borders with snow and rain and sleet, very drippy so say the least.

I am SOOOO very behind in gardening.  In fact it is pretty bad.  Too wet to do anything, and my problem is here where I live, the owners do nothing about the water and standing water that is around.  This park is not code ready or even close.  It is very uneven ground, and has never been leveled or maintained at all so we have nothing but water, water.  And nothing can be done about it as the owners will not do anything anyway.

I am hoping that if it dries out some, I will bring my blue tubs around the front and work under the carport and get my strawberry roots in at least.  I have got to do this in the next day or two or I will loose them.  I will keep them around my north side for now, and move them later to the back for the sun.  I also have to put in some shallots and a few onions, but it has been so wet and muddy, I cannot even get through the back to have my garden man come and roto till my spot.  I am afraid it is going to be like last year, where it was a cool summer to start out and I had to use greenhouse plastic on and off throughout the summer for anything to get going.  Everything was very late, in mid August and September and some of my tomatoes clear into October.  It was crazy.

I thought I would post some after photos of the no snow thing.  The snow started to melt Saturday afternoon, and by Sunday, it was gone.  The only nice thing about spring snow storms, it goes quickly.

Really not much else going on, being so wet and cold.  You just cannot get out to do anything.  But I will start to work my strawberries and shallots at least.  I know we need the moisture, but it sure puts a damper on gardening when you do depend on what you grow.  And I am afraid that I will be unable to use the south side of my trailer because of the new south people who moved in.  We had the cops there Sunday afternoon, three cars to be exact, and it got a little ugly.  I didn't even know about it, (I was cleaning house, and had the shop vac going and I couldn't hear anything anyway) but one of my house neighbors called me that she called the cops as the male was beating the woman and the kids as they were going out the door, so I am going to just garden to my north and I will have to spray weeds on the south and not do anything until they are kicked out or move.  The male is violent and I am not going to be on the receiving end.  I will tell you if I ever was, you would probably be reading my blog in prison as I would hurt him real bad....

Anyway,  I am trying to catch up with laundry and things I didn't get done while I was ill, so I will talk to everyone later, and have a great week.

Hugs
