I am posting today to remember all veterans, past and present for their service to our country.
I post this also for my Dad, and my Dad's Dad, he was in WWI. My Dad was in WWII, his brother was in Korea, and my Mother's Dad was in WWII, in the European Theater, and gave the ultimate sacrifice. He was shot by sniper in the french village of San Lowe, on Novenber 12, 1944, and died on November 14, 1944, sadly on my mother's birthday.
Please remember your vets in your communities, as they have given so much for so little.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.
Hugs
Yes, we should all remember them and the young men today who are listed on PBS as loosing their lives in another war so far from home. Such a great loss.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I don't live in England, I am shocked that yet again today's remembrance services are threatened with disruption by certain immigrant communities. RESPECT is the only word that comes to mind.
