  1. Thanks for this link Denim ~ It makes me want to go home and make a crockpot of stew. I made beans last week. Great northern beans cooked in chicken broth, with garlic and onion and celery.

  2. It sounds like some American rain headed our way as several large areas of the UK have had torrents of the stuff today!

    I have yet to make baked beans the proper way (mainly because I just KNOW my fussy husband wouldn't touch them), but a good meat and veg stew is hard to beat. Now I have a slow cooker I can start them off after breakfast and just ignore them for long periods!

    Hope it starts to cool down with you soon. Feeling autumnal here in the mornings already.
