I just wanted to post to all a wonderful Memorial Day to all of you in the US.
Please remember your veterans who have served, or are serving for our country.
Tomorrow, I will pay tribute to my Dad, who served in WWII. My mother's dad, who was in WWII, in the European theatre, landed on Omaha Beach, and was taken out in a small village in France, called,St. Lo. My mother's sister's husband, who served in the Pacific theatre and was in major battles, in the islands with the Marines. My mother's uncle, who was in WWII, in the Battle of the Bulge. My dad's father was in WWI, and my dad's brother, who was in heavy battles in Korea, I salute them.
I also want to salute and say "THANK YOU" to those who take the time to read my blog, if you are a vet, to thank you for your service and dedication and the love you have for your country, even though, we are teetering at the moment, good will prevail.
Enjoy your holiday and please remember to thank your vets in your areas.
Hugs to All

I think we need to make mention of the older generations who have served in the armed forces. Wars are started by heads of state and the'common' person has little choice but to fight, and most do so with courage.
ReplyDeleteWar is NOT a good thing and those who serve their countries do so with little choice as Morning's Minion said, but do so with courage. It is all they have and for that we are thankful.
ReplyDeleteOur freedoms may not be lost by those who are in the military but by those who sit in office making the rules. May God have mercy on us all.
Love and hugs to you and D dear Vicki.

We all owe so much to those who fought against evil tyrants (and won).
